Blackpool Flood Relief Scheme - Public Exhibition

In accordance with the ARTERIAL DRAINAGE ACTS 1945 and 1995, the Office of Public Works in Ireland is bringing forward a proposed Flood Relief Scheme for part of the River Bride, Blackpool, Co. Cork and its tributaries for the purpose of preventing or substantially reducing the periodical localised flooding of lands in the area of that watercourse.

The scheme will be known as the 'River Bride (Blackpool) Certified Drainage Scheme'.

A copy of the scheme will be available for inspection by any person claiming to be interested therein from 2pm on Tuesday, 24th November 2015 and during normal opening hours thereafter to Tuesday, 22nd December 2015, at Blackpool Public Library, Blackpool Shopping Centre, Blackpool, Cork.

Representatives from the Scheme's engineering design team and environmental consultants and the Office of Public Works will be in attendance at the Blackpool Community Centre, 90 Great William O'Brien Street, Blackpool, Cork on the following dates and times to answer any questions that interested persons may have regarding the Scheme's proposals:

Lower Lee Public Information Day No. 2

A Public Information Days for the Lower Lee (Cork City) Flood Relief Scheme (including Blackpool and Ballyvolane) will be held in Cork City Hall Civic Offices foyer on Tuesday 29th July 2014 from 2pm to 9pm. The Public Information Day will provide an update on the identification of engineering measures for the Lower Lee from Innsicarra Dam downstream to and through Cork City, and for Blackpool and Ballyvolane. Members of the Project Design and Environmental Teams will be present on the day to deal with queries from the Public. Information on the Flood Relief Scheme will remain on display in Cork City Hall until Tuesday 5 August 2014 and the public are invited to submit comments and make their views known both on the day and in the days afterwards.

Lower Lee Public Information Day No. 1

The first of two planned Public Information Days for the Lower Lee (Cork City) Flood Relief Scheme (including Blackpool) will be held in Cork City Hall Civic Offices foyer on Wednesday 17th July 2013 from 3pm to 9pm. Members of the public are invited to attend and make their views and comments known to the project's design and environmental teams.
